Technology
FDLRS provides assistance and support in the appropriate use of a variety of technologies for students, teachers, professional staff, and parents. Support services are available in the areas of assistive technology, instructional technology, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), AIM/NIMAS Florida services, and virtual/online instruction.
The Technology Specialists at all 18 local FDLRS Associate Centers also collaborate with the Multi-tier System of Supports (MTSS) Technology and Learning Regional Technology Specialists and district-based Assistive Technology Specialists.
FDLRS Technology provides the following services:

Provide technical assistance at the district and school level.

Provide professional learning to the district and school-based personnel.

Support the inclusion of technology into instruction.

Collaborate with Florida IDEA Funded State Projects to develop professional learning opportunities and assist the inclusion of students with disabilities into the general education curriculum by implementing Universal Design for Learning and technology solutions.

Provide professional learning opportunities on Accessible Educational Materials (AEM).

Support the development and use of technology-based accommodations for students with disabilities.

Collaborates with all departments within the Palm Beach County School District, FAU Lab School, and South Tech Charter to support students with disabilities in reaching their full academic potential.
